The hardness and strength of HPHT single wafer is higher than that of sintered PCD, cemented carbide, silicon nitride and silicon carbide, and 6 times higher than that of cemented carbide. 

HPHT wafer has good wear resistance, low friction coefficient with non-ferrous metals, high friction resistance, not easy to produce cutting tumor and affect the cutting effect. 

HPHT wafer has good thermal conductivity, fast fan heat and is not easy to be affected by cutting heat. It can work stably below 800C in air and below 1300 ℃ in inert gas or vacuum. 

HPHT single wafer has good adhesion resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and chemical stability, and can grind extremely sharp cutting tools, which is considered to be the most ideal tool material for ultra-precision cutting. 

HPHT wafer has high transparency and high refractive index under visible and infrared light.
